Israeli foreign minister congratulates Nikol Pashinyan and civil contract on election victory 08.06.2026

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar extended congratulations to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the Civil Contract Party for their victory in Armenia's parliamentary elections held on June 7, 2026. Sa'ar, posting on X, acknowledged Pashinyan's leadership in pursuing peace and reconciliation with Azerbaijan, stating that these efforts are expected to foster regional stability and cooperation. Preliminary results indicate the Civil Contract Party secured 727,820 votes (49.825%), surpassing the electoral threshold. Other parties exceeding the threshold include the Strong Armenia Alliance with 340,088 votes (23.281%) and the Armenia Alliance with 145,113 votes (9.934%). The Civil Contract Party is projected to form the next government based on these preliminary outcomes.
