Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, during a campaign meeting for upcoming legislative elections, unveiled his "Colonization 2030" program, advocating for the "encouragement of emigration" of Palestinians from the occupied West Bank and Gaza. Smotrich stated his intention to officially annul the Oslo Accords and establish Israeli sovereignty over these territories, asserting that this approach would eliminate the concept of a "terrorist Arab state." The meeting, held at the Psagot vineyard in an Israeli settlement near Ramallah, was attended by numerous mayors of West Bank settlements. This initiative comes as the Israeli government has intensified its control over the West Bank, with a significant increase in approved settlements since 2023, according to the NGO Peace Now.
