Khoussein Zhabrailov, an 18-year-old judoka from Angers, is aiming for national and international success, driven by a desire to become an Olympic champion. After overcoming injuries that hampered his progress last year, Zhabrailov, currently ranked 11th in France in the junior -81 kg category, achieved third place at the Lormont tournament in December. He is now focused on the superexcellence tournament in Aix-en-Provence and the French junior championships. Having moved from Maine-et-Loire to further his development, Zhabrailov's passion for judo was ignited by coach Alain Cartigny at the Budokan Angers club, after an initial reluctance to the sport.
