JEE admits error in accepting Renovación Popular list with candidates already elected as deputies 03.07.2026

The Special Electoral Jury (JEE) of Lima Centro admitted an error in accepting the municipal list of Renovación Popular for the 2026 Regional and Municipal Elections. According to a secretarial report, the list included Leo Miguel De Paz Lancho and Aldo Antonio Bravo Quispe as candidates for councilors of Lima, despite both already holding credentials as elected deputies for the 2026-2031 period. The list was admitted on June 30, nearly two weeks after the results for deputies and senators were proclaimed on June 19.
