JNJ Reschedules Final Interview to Elect New Head of ONPE: When? 07.07.2026

The Plenary of the National Board of Justice (JNJ) determined, through an extraordinary session, the rescheduling of the timeline for the election of the new head of the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE). The personal interview, which constitutes the final phase of the competition, will take place on Tuesday, July 14, at the institutional headquarters in San Isidro starting at 11:00 a.m. This change of date is in response to the reinstatement of Carlos Martín Loyola Escajadillo, who appears as the sole candidate in the process, thereby allowing the reactivation of the competition that was close to being canceled. Following the interviews, the JNJ will publish the scores, the merit list, and the voting results. Barring any delays, the winner will be sworn in on Thursday, July 16, 2026, to assume their official duties.
