JO d’hiver 2026 : « Tout le monde fait n’importe quoi… » Timothy Loubineaud dézingue la stratégie sur la mass start 21.02.2026

French speed skater Timothy Loubineaud expressed significant frustration following the mass start event at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, where a breakaway by Dutch skater Jorrit Bergsma and Danish skater Viktor Thorup was not effectively pursued by the rest of the field. Loubineaud criticized the lack of strategic responsibility taken by other nations, stating it was not France's role to chase down the leaders, and lamented that "everyone does whatever they want on the day." He finished eleventh, while teammate Mathieu Belloir secured seventh place. Loubineaud, who also achieved fourth in the 10,000m and fifth in the 5,000m and team pursuit, felt his physical condition and statistical performance were strong, but was disappointed by the race's strategic execution.
