Johor polls: KJ accuses PH of copying BN's manifesto 03.07.2026

Khairy Jamaluddin, the former health minister and newly reinstated Umno member, launched a scathing attack on Pakatan Harapan (PH) during a Barisan Nasional (BN) ceramah in Kota Masai on Friday, June 3. He accused PH of "copying and pasting" BN's Johor election manifesto, claiming that after comparing both documents, he found PH's pledges on housing, economic development, and small and medium enterprises were nearly identical to BN's proposals, which were released a week earlier. "If you have to choose between the original and the copy, choose the original. Don't choose the copy," Khairy told the crowd, which included BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Tiram assemblyman Datuk Abdul Halim Suleiman.
