Johor polls: Onn Hafiz denies allegation of interference in dissolution 25.06.2026

Johor Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi has strongly denied allegations by former state speaker Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi that the Johor Palace ordered the dissolution of the state legislative assembly. In a Facebook statement on Wednesday, the caretaker mentri besar described the claim as a distortion of the constitutional process. Onn Hafiz said he never informed Puad that the Palace had “ordered” the dissolution, as alleged.
