Kapila to step down as SDB bank CEO in October, Manoj to succeed 30.06.2026

SANASA Development Bank PLC (SDB bank) has announced a leadership transition, with Executive Director/CEO Kapila Ariyaratne stepping down on October 6, 2026, as per his contractual terms. He will also leave the Board of Directors on the same date. The bank has named Manoj Akmeemana, currently serving as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, as the new CEO, effective October 7, 2026, subject to approval from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. This change is part of the bank's formally approved succession plan for the CEO position.
