Keiko Fujimori declarada ganadora de elección en Perú por un estrecho margen 04.07.2026

Keiko Fujimori has been declared the winner of Peru's presidential election after a prolonged vote count concluded with a narrow victory margin of 49,641 ballots. The conservative candidate, representing the Popular Force party, secured 50.13% of the valid votes in the June 7 runoff against leftist candidate Roberto Sánchez of Together for Peru, who garnered 49.86%. This marks Fujimori's fourth presidential bid and her first win. She is slated to be sworn in on July 28, serving a five-year term, and will become Peru's ninth president in a decade amidst significant political instability. Sánchez has alleged irregularities and indicated he will not recognize Fujimori's government, though Peru's electoral authorities have rejected these claims.
