Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officials are investigating the deaths of 15 elephants in the Kimana Sanctuary and Kuku Ranch areas, which serve as critical dispersal corridors surrounding Amboseli National Park. Ten of the elephants showed signs of partial paralysis before dying within 48 hours, while the remaining five carcasses were too decomposed to determine an initial cause of death. Most of the affected elephants were females and young calves, with only one adult male among the dead.
