Speaking at the Himpunan Anak Muda Tiram programme in Johor Baru, Khairy Jamaluddin criticized Pakatan Harapan's manifesto as a "copy-and-paste" effort, claiming many of its proposals were already introduced or being implemented by Barisan Nasional. He noted that BN launched its manifesto a week earlier, while PH only released theirs on the day of his speech. After comparing both documents side by side, Khairy asserted that PH's proposals on housing, youth, the economy, and small and medium enterprises were direct copies. "If we have to choose between the original and the copy, it is better to choose the BN original rather than the copy-and-paste version," he said.
