Khaled to have audience with Johor Regent over armed forces, RGK issues 22.08.2026

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin announced he will have an audience with the Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, to brief him on administrative issues within the armed forces. The meeting aims to provide a clearer picture of matters arising, including the Regent's remarks on the leadership of the Defence Ministry and the Regimen Gerak Khas (RGK). Khaled stated, "I believe we need to provide a clear explanation regarding the statement and decree. Indeed, in the near future, there will be an opportunity to have an audience, and perhaps we can work together to improve the situation." He made these comments during a press conference after the Kota Tinggi Barisan Nasional Thanksgiving ceremony.
