King's state visit to US to go ahead in April, but no Harry meeting 16h ago

King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to undertake a state visit to the United States in late April, from April 27-30, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace and announced by President Donald Trump. The visit, which will include Washington D.C. and a banquet at the White House on April 28th, marks the first UK state visit to the US since 2007 and aims to celebrate historic and modern bilateral connections. Despite anticipation, King Charles is not expected to meet his son, Prince Harry, who resides in California, due to concerns over jeopardizing ongoing legal processes and police investigations related to Prince Andrew's past associations. The trip also coincides with calls from US Congressman Ro Khanna and survivors of Jeffrey Epstein for the King to meet with victims, though this is understood to be unlikely. The visit proceeds amidst past political tensions between the US and UK, including disagreements over the Iran war.
