Konaković on (new) defeat of citizen Dodik: "He was not defeated by the Troika, but by the institutions" 03.07.2026

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and President of the Nation and Justice party, Elmedin Konaković, spoke out on July 3 regarding the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH, which rejected the appeal of an NSRS deputy contesting the amendments to the law imposed by the former High Representative, Christian Schmidt. Konaković emphasized that the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, rather than the "Troika," defeated Milorad Dodik, highlighting that these same institutions, which Dodik does not recognize, have prohibited him from working and prevented him from running for any office. The Constitutional Court's decision confirms the legality of the High Representative's decisions and leaves him in his position, while Dodik is left to watch the elections from the sidelines. Konaković concluded that Dodik's attempts to challenge the constitutional order are doomed to failure by the decisions of the Constitutional Court.
