Konflikt im Südsudan Wenn Helfer zu Opfern werden 02.03.2026

The South Sudan faces a severe humanitarian crisis exacerbated by ongoing conflict and escalating attacks on aid workers, making it one of the world's most dangerous places for humanitarian personnel. Approximately 250,000 people are displaced due to recent fighting, with many relying solely on humanitarian organizations for survival. Despite government assurances, aid groups report persistent access issues and a surge in attacks, including the bombing and looting of medical facilities, leaving hundreds of thousands without essential care. The World Food Programme is struggling to deliver food supplies before the rainy season, with millions of children and mothers at risk of starvation, while the country teeters on the brink of renewed civil war, further complicated by the influx of refugees from the conflict in neighboring Sudan and dwindling international aid.
