Kremlin Responds to Zelensky's Remarks Regarding a Meeting with Putin in Konstantinovka 05.07.2026

Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has officially commented on Vladimir Zelensky's proposal to hold a meeting with Vladimir Putin in Konstantinovka, located in the DPR. The Kremlin stated that while they welcome the Ukrainian leader's readiness for dialogue, they emphasized that official negotiations must take place in Moscow rather than in a border town. Peskov noted that Zelensky may visit the Russian capital when he is ready to make responsible decisions, the nature of which is well known to Kyiv. Additionally, during his remarks, Peskov referred to the capture of Konstantinovka as a significant victory within the framework of the special military operation. The text also mentions that Yuri Shevchuk's eldest son, Petr, is wanted by bailiffs due to loan debts amounting to 14,000 rubles, and travel blogger Elena Liseykina has suggested a list of visa-free countries as alternatives to European destinations.
