Lized Yuridia, alias "La Chofis," a 45-year-old alleged historical operator for the criminal group La Unión Tepito, has been arrested for the second time in the Morelos neighborhood of Mexico City. The arrest occurred during an operation focused on dismantling drug dealing points. Authorities apprehended her in the act of selling drugs at the intersection of Matamoros and Peralvillo streets, a known operational area for the criminal cell. She was found in possession of 87 doses of marijuana, 20 packets of crack cocaine, and crystal meth. La Chofis was previously detained in 2020 for drug possession and had been under investigation for her roles in drug sales and acting as a lookout for the organization, previously working under the leader known as "El Lunares."
