« La clientèle nous reste fidèle » : même si son parking est inondé, ce supermarché Leclerc prend son mal en patience 20.02.2026

The underground parking of the Leclerc supermarket in Saumur, Maine-et-Loire, has been submerged for several days due to the flooding of the Thouet river. While the water level has made a significant portion of the parking inaccessible, forcing customers to park further away, the supermarket's operations remain unaffected. Store manager Emmanuel Guégan is patiently awaiting the receding waters, noting that the store itself is elevated and not impacted by the floodwaters. Although there has been a slight decrease in customer traffic, Guégan emphasizes that the clientele remains loyal, and the situation is manageable compared to other flooded areas in France. Preparations are underway with external companies to repair escalators and electric charging stations in the underground parking once access is restored.
