JO 2028 : la maire de Los Angeles demande la démission du patron des Jeux, empêtré dans l’affaire Epsteinà 13h04 17.02.2026

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has called for the resignation of Casey Wasserman, the president of the organizing committee for the 2028 Olympic Games, due to his involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Wasserman's name surfaced in connection with emails exchanged with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's former associate imprisoned for aiding in the recruitment of underage prostitutes. While the LA 2028 executive committee has publicly supported Wasserman, citing his decade of leadership, Mayor Bass expressed regret over their stance and stated that Wasserman "should resign." This call follows pressure from at least 10 Los Angeles regional elected officials who have also demanded his departure. Wasserman has previously apologized for the 2003 correspondence and announced his intention to step down from his talent agency.
