La Russie met en garde contre un « effet domino » si les Etats-Unis reprennent leurs essais nucléaires 02.03.2026

Moscow, through its ambassador in Geneva, Guennadi Gatilov, warned Washington this Tuesday that a resumption of American nuclear tests would trigger a "domino effect," holding the United States entirely responsible. This warning follows confirmations from US officials, including Christopher Yeaw, regarding President Donald Trump's intention to resume tests "on an equal footing." Trump had announced his country was preparing to resume its first nuclear tests since 1992, with this announcement dated "Fin 2025" in the article. The US accuses China of conducting a low-yield underground test on June 22, 2020, and preparing larger ones, as well as Russia of secretly conducting similar tests. Russia believes the American stance further challenges the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), which has not yet entered into force.
