The waters of Lake Balaton have cooled significantly following recent weather events. According to a report by Időkép, Wednesday's storms and Friday's cold front thoroughly stirred the lake's waters, leading to a drop in temperature. While temperatures reached 33 degrees Celsius near Keszthely on Monday during the heat dome, the water temperature has now fallen back to 25 degrees.
