Johannes Høsflot Klaebo, a Norwegian cross-country skier, has become the most successful athlete in Winter Olympics history, securing his ninth gold medal at the Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo Games. Klaebo anchored the Norwegian team to victory in a recent event, crossing the finish line with a significant lead over second-place Finland and third-place Italy. This latest triumph marks his fourth gold at the current Games, adding to his previous wins in the 20km skiathlon, sprint, and 10km freestyle. His overall Olympic medal count now stands at eleven, surpassing previous records held by legendary athletes like Marit Bjørgen and Ole Einar Bjørndalen. Klaebo still has opportunities to add to his medal collection in the team sprint and 50km classic style events.
