Hargitay, the 62-year-old star of the long-running NBC crime procedural "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," expressed her honor in celebrating the storytelling community during NBC's 100th birthday year. Before the hosting announcement, nominations for the awards will be revealed on July 8 by Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller. Hargitay has a storied history with the awards, having earned eight nominations for her portrayal of Detective Olivia Benson and winning a statuette in 2006.
