NBC, 7 Temmuz Salı günü yaptığı açıklamayla Mariska Hargitay'ın 2026 yılındaki 78. Emmy Ödülleri'nde resmi sunucu olarak görev yapacağını duyurdu. Televizyon endüstrisinin en prestijli ödül töreni olan etkinliğin, 14 Eylül'de Los Angeles'taki Peacock Theater'dan yayınlanması planlanıyor. NBC'nin uzun soluklu polisiye dizisi "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"ın 62 yaşındaki yıldızı Hargitay, NBC'nin 100. kuruluş yılı kutlamaları kapsamında hikaye anlatıcılığı topluluğunu onurlandırmaktan mutluluk duyduğunu ifade etti. Sunuculuk duyurusundan önce, adaylar 8 Temmuz'da Liza Colón-Zayas ve Jeff Hiller tarafından açıklanacak.
