« Le RN, c’est des dégonflés » : à Lyon, la marche pour Quentin Deranque a viré en parade d’extrême droite 21.02.2026

Following the death of 23-year-old far-right nationalist militant Quentin Deranque, who was beaten to death on February 12th on the sidelines of a conference at Sciences-po Lyon, several candidates in the Lyon municipal elections, including Alexandre Dupalais (UDR-RN), Jean-Michel Aulas, and Anaïs Belouassa-Cherifi, initially suspended their campaigns. However, campaigning has resumed, with a major debate scheduled for Tuesday and a meeting by Jean-Luc Mélenchon on Thursday. A portrait of Deranque was installed on the facade of the regional hotel on Saturday, February 21st, preceding a march in his memory. The incident has sparked a public exchange between Jean-Michel Aulas and the incumbent mayor, Grégory Doucet.
