Lee: 'Mega-projects are not a tool for approval ratings... Results will drive approval ratings' 04.07.2026

President Lee Jae-myung stated that the pursuit of three major mega-projects—including semiconductors, data centers, and physical AI—is not a political tool for managing approval ratings. He emphasized that these are national tasks he has dreamed of since before his inauguration, and stressed the importance of creating results that improve the lives of the people. The President explained that while preparations for large-scale regional investments for balanced development had been made but faced delays, such investments have now become feasible in conjunction with recent investment policies in high-tech industries like AI. He added that while approval ratings change like the wind, results remain as steady as a mountain, and that results will naturally drive approval ratings. He expressed his determination to create hope and a future for the youth through these mega-projects.
