France boasts several breathtaking and unique road itineraries, offering travelers unparalleled scenic experiences. The Gorges du Verdon in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, known as the "Grand Canyon d’Europe," features the Corniche Sublime (D71) and the Route des Crêtes (D23), with the latter accessible from March 31 to November 29, 2026. La Réunion's RN5, nicknamed the "route aux 400 virages," ascends to 1200m altitude with its 30km of tight turns and tunnels. Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur also offers the "Colorado des Alpes niçoises" through the Gorges du Daluis and du Cians, with routes D28 and D2202 showcasing vibrant red schists and the dramatic Pont de la Mariée.
