This represents a slight increase from the previous year, when 28 fatal traffic accidents occurred. The number of fatalities has remained relatively stable in recent years, with 25 deaths recorded in 2021. Nationally, 759 people died in traffic incidents across the Netherlands last year, with cyclists being the most frequent victims.
