Limassol is preparing to roll out its new smart parking system in early July, following ongoing installation work in the city centre. First announced in 2023, the project was awarded to Blue Sun Automation Ltd in June 2025 under a contract worth €5.17 million plus VAT. The system will cover around 2,500 parking spaces, with sensors already installed at several on-street locations to provide real-time availability data. Drivers will access this information via a mobile app that also enables electronic payments, reducing reliance on physical tickets. Additionally, organised car parks such as the Enaerios site and facilities near the Limassol pier are being upgraded with redesigned entry and exit routes to improve circulation and capacity.
