List of Michelin inspectors' names circulates among restaurants 09.04.2026

A list of 88 names of Michelin inspectors, including pseudonyms, email addresses, and phone numbers, is circulating among restaurants in 11 countries, including the Netherlands and Belgium. The list, titled 'Michelin list ultimate', is in the possession of RTL Nieuws and also contains information about the roles of some inspectors. The leak of these names is causing unrest in haute cuisine, as the anonymity of inspectors is crucial for their work to be able to make objective assessments. Former chief inspector Werner Loens calls the distribution 'very regrettable' and emphasizes the importance of anonymity to prevent restaurants from behaving differently. The origin of the list is unclear, and Michelin itself claims to have no knowledge of its existence.
