London launches back-to-school online extremism training 25.08.2026

As students return to school in London, a new program funded by the Shared Endeavour Fund aims to combat the spread of extremism online. The initiative, backed by £875,000 ($1.2 million) from Mayor Sadiq Khan, includes workshops run by Tech Against Terrorism to equip secondary school pupils and teachers with critical reasoning skills. Adam Hadley, founder of the non-profit, noted that a large proportion of individuals radicalized into terrorism are young people, often exposed to nihilistic content focused on extreme violence rather than traditional ideologies. The workshops will start by showing AI-generated examples to encourage students to be more critical of online material, including content from unsafe chatbots.
