A low-pressure area (LPA) is anticipated to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between Thursday and Friday, situated west of Extreme Northern Luzon, according to PAGASA. As of Wednesday morning, the LPA was located 475 kilometers northwest of Pag-asa Island. While it has a low probability of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, its entry coincides with the ongoing Southwest monsoon, which is bringing heavy rainfall to several areas. Affected regions, including Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, and Palawan, are expecting 50 to 100 millimeters of rain, with warnings of potential flooding in low-lying and urbanized areas.
