L’Étoile lavalloise is currently trailing Kazakh club Semey 1-3 at halftime in their UEFA Futsal Champions League quarter-final first leg match, held at a sold-out Espace Mayenne on Monday, February 23rd. Despite a strong start from Semey, who scored within the first minute and extended their lead to 0-2, Laval managed to pull one back through Bilal Bakkali's free-kick, making it 1-2. However, Semey quickly re-established a two-goal advantage with Bruno Gomes scoring his second goal to make it 1-3. Laval, playing without Anas Bakkali but with the return of Eliott Kolski, will need to overturn the deficit in the second half and the upcoming second leg on March 6th.
