Luftalarm in Udmurtien: Hinweise auf ukrainischen Angriff auf Zentrum der russischen Rüstungsindustrie 21.02.2026

The Russian region of Udmurtia, a significant center for the country's defense industry, experienced a Ukrainian attack resulting in at least eleven injuries, according to regional authorities. Three individuals required hospitalization, as confirmed by Sergey Bagin, the regional health minister, via Telegram. Unverified social media reports suggest a key defense facility in Votkinsk, approximately 50 kilometers northeast of the capital Izhevsk, which produces Iskander and Oreschnik missiles, was targeted. Residents shared footage of a fire and damage, with some indicating a rocket engine factory as the likely objective, though this remains unconfirmed officially. The head of Udmurtia, Alexander Brechalov, previously announced a drone attack causing damage and injuries without specifying the location. Izhevsk's airport temporarily suspended operations due to an air raid alert.
