In the early hours of Monday morning, around two o'clock, a major fire was discovered in a thrift store on Dorpstraat in Veldhoven. Flames quickly erupted from the building, after which the fire department immediately scaled up, deploying multiple fire trucks and three aerial platforms. Although the fire initially seemed under control, it flared up again later from the roof and the rear of the building. The fire department has since brought the fire under control but is still busy with extinguishing operations on Tuesday morning.
