Malaysia strengthens air links with China, Indonesia via 4 new services 25.06.2026

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) announced the addition of four new international routes linking Malaysia with China and Indonesia. Hainan Airlines began flights between Chongqing (CKG) and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on May 16, while China Eastern Airlines launched services from Dalian (DLC) via Nanjing (NKG) to KLIA on June 23. Regionally, Wings Air introduced thrice-weekly flights connecting Pekanbaru (PKU) in Indonesia with Melaka Airport (MKZ) on June 10, and AirAsia started four-weekly services between Jakarta (CGK) and Kota Bharu’s Sultan Ismail Petra Airport (KBR) on June 16.
