A 32-year-old man from Weesp was arrested yesterday on suspicion of sexually extorting a 59-year-old man from Lingewaard, Gelderland. The suspect initiated contact through a dating app, exchanging sexually explicit images with the victim via WhatsApp. When the victim attempted to end contact, the suspect threatened to release the images or visit him, demanding €4000 to prevent this. The suspect was taken into custody and has since been released but remains under investigation, with police confirming the case is ongoing.
