Ruben Schembri, a 51-year-old gaming employee from Msida, appeared in court on Friday charged with the corruption and sexual assault of a five-year-old girl. The charges stem from an incident that allegedly took place at the YMCA homeless shelter in Msida, where the victim and her mother are currently residing. The mother filed a police report after discovering a video on her mobile phone that allegedly showed Schembri touching her daughter's genitals. According to investigators, the girl's sibling was playing with the mother's phone during the assault and accidentally recorded the incident.
