A 38-year-old Czech Republic citizen, residing in Revelstoke, British Columbia, has died after falling into a glacier crevasse at the Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park. The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 12, while the man was snowboarding with two friends. RCMP were called to the scene along Highway 93. Due to the remote location and harsh environmental conditions, recovery of the victim's body was not immediately possible. The Columbia Icefield is a well-known tourist destination situated approximately 100 kilometers southeast of Jasper.
