On 23 November 2022, Viktor Markovic and accomplices carried out an armed robbery at Victoria Mansions in Pjazza Toni Bajada, Naxxar, stealing over €2,300 in cash from Timothy Marc Paul Jacobs. During the incident, the victim was assaulted, restrained, and inflicted with grievous injuries that resulted in permanent health complications. Markovic also possessed a firearm without a licence and attempted to conceal the crime by destroying evidence before criminal proceedings began.
