A 26-year-old Colombian man legally residing in the United States was killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent early Monday morning in Biddeford, Maine, according to officials. Maine House Speaker Ryan Fecteau reported on Facebook that the victim was from Colombia, had a social security number, and was in the country legally. Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey stated that a deportation officer was conducting an enforcement operation related to a final removal order when the man attempted to flee in a vehicle toward the officer and was fatally shot. Senator Susan Collins called for a full investigation, noting the FBI is probing the incident.
