Man lets cats sleep in his car in Yishun car park 07.05.2026

A man in Yishun has transformed a long-term parked car into a shelter for two cats, named Patches and Tiger, who have been in his care for over a decade. The owner, in his 50s, explained that the cats, originally injured community felines he took in, now prefer to live downstairs, with the car serving as their comfortable resting place, complete with makeshift beds and feeding stations. While neighbors have been supportive, the Nee Soon Town Council has intervened, removing the cat-related items from the multi-storey car park at Block 347 Yishun Avenue 11. The council stated that parking lots are designated for vehicles and emphasized the need for safety and hygiene, while advising residents to care for community cats responsibly.
