An explosion occurred on April 8, after 2 p.m. local time, in a building located in the 900 block of Main Street in Nashville, Tennessee, when a person stripping floors with acetone lit a cigarette. The resulting blast caused a wall to collapse and sent the individual to a medical center with non-critical burns. First responders treated the incident as a "HazMat response," and air tests confirmed the presence of acetone fumes within the building. A sander running was identified as the source of ignition by the Nashville Fire Department, and no other injuries were reported.
