Man who started drugs line on day of release jailed 09.04.2026

Esten Bennett, 32, from Stafford, has been sentenced to five years and six months in prison for his involvement in supplying crack cocaine. He pleaded guilty at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Thursday. Bennett was apprehended in Telford on March 4, found with drugs, cash, and a phone connected to a drug line he established on January 13, the same day he was released from a six-year sentence for previous drug offenses. West Mercia Police reported that the drug line operated for seven weeks, distributing drugs across Telford and Wales. Detective Sergeant Andy Pond highlighted Bennett's immediate return to criminal activity upon his release.
