'Concerned' Matt Damon protests ICE at 'The Rip' movie premiere 14.01.2026

At the Tuesday, Jan. 13 premiere of his new Netflix film "The Rip" in New York, actor Matt Damon, 55, wore a "BE GOOD" pin to protest recent fatal shootings by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. The pins, created by a coalition including the ACLU, were also worn by other celebrities at the Golden Globe Awards, including Mark Ruffalo, who specifically dedicated his pin to Renee Nicole Good, fatally shot by an ICE officer on Jan. 7 in Minneapolis. Good's death, along with that of Keith Porter who was killed by an off-duty ICE agent on New Year's Eve in Southern California, has sparked concern and calls for awareness. Damon stated his intention was to raise awareness about events in cities and promote discussion, aligning with his history of activism.
