Hernán Gil, the security guard who survived eight days trapped under rubble following the double earthquake on June 24 in Venezuela, was rescued Thursday morning and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital de Clínicas Caracas. According to medical staff reporting to EFE, a CT scan revealed a left clavicle dislocation, small bands of reversible pulmonary atelectasis, a hematoma in the left parietal lobe, and mild sinusitis. Despite these injuries, Gil is conscious and in stable condition, although he remains under observation per protocol.
