Kepala Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) Nanik S. Deyang, yang baru ditunjuk oleh Presiden Prabowo Subianto, menyatakan bahwa efisiensi anggaran akan menjadi prioritas utama lembaganya. Dalam rapat konsolidasi internal pada Kamis (4/6/2026), pimpinan BGN sepakat untuk melakukan efisiensi anggaran meskipun sebelumnya telah ada pemangkasan. Langkah-langkah efisiensi meliputi *refocusing* penerima manfaat Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) dan moratorium pembangunan dapur MBG baru. BGN juga akan fokus memperbaiki dapur MBG yang sudah beroperasi, termasuk standar operasional, kualitas makanan, dan pelatihan SDM. Selain itu, program MBG akan didorong ke daerah 3T melalui skema alternatif agar perluasan layanan tetap berjalan tanpa menambah beban APBN.
