Met geld en handtekeningen is het nu écht rond: de nieuwe bibliotheek OBA Next in Zuidoost 10.02.2026

The financing for the new OBA Next library in Kraaiennest, Zuidoost, has been finalized with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the OBA and the municipality. This future-oriented library, intended to open its doors by the end of 2030, will span 7500 square meters and aims to be a hub for knowledge, creativity, and inspiration, adapting to new communication forms like AI. The project is supported by a municipal reservation of €36.5 million and a €3 million national subsidy. The current OBA Next Lab in Kraaiennest already offers free after-school workshops for youth aged 12-18 through the TUMO program, focusing on skills like robotics, programming, drawing, and music, with plans for a new residential area, K-midden, to be developed nearby.
