MFA discusses stranded citizens’ return 04.03.2026

Armenia's Foreign Ministry is actively engaged in consultations with airlines including FlyOne, FlyDubai, Air Arabia, Qatar Airways, and Jazeera Airways to arrange return flights for Armenian citizens stranded due to flight cancellations and transit route disruptions through Middle Eastern countries. Spokesperson Ani Badalyan confirmed these discussions, alongside efforts with partner countries to streamline procedures, and stated that a needs assessment has been completed. Diplomatic and consular offices in the Middle East, Iran, and Israel are operating 24-hour emergency services, as are those in countries from which citizens plan to transit. The Yerevan Municipality has also decided to expedite the return of the Yerevan youth orchestra from Beirut due to regional tensions. No Armenian citizens have been reported among the victims of recent escalations.
